heat pump problem?

We have two rheem heat pumps installed in 2002. A couple months ago, one of the compressors has to be replaced and we had a specialist replaced it for us. Last week, when we turned on the heat and set the temperature to 70. The heating system won’t stop even through the room temperature had reached 75. We had the same person that replaced our compressor to check on the problem, and the solution he gave us was to change the thermostat. We purchased a new thermostat and had it replaced. The next day, our heat pump still won’t stop running and we had the same technician check on it again. The solution was still the same, something wrong with the thermostat and we have to buy another one. Can someone tell us what could be causing this?
We have installed a new thermostat today (the 2nd thermostate installed this week) and the heating system still won’t stop running. The guy open up the heat pump and found out that the compessor has burn out again. We just had the compressor changed two months ago, anyone know what’s causing the problem?
We have already spend more than $1500 on the repair of our AC/Heating system and it seems the problem haven’t been fixed. The repairer is going to reinstall the compressor next week. The guy was going to charge the labor fees for replacing the compressor, but after much argument about this, he is replacing the compressor for free. However, we don’t think the main problem has anything to do with the compressor.

The second one new thermostat from him and he thinks it doesnt work properly you should not have to pay for the second one new thermostat from him and he thinks it doesnt work properly you should not have to pay for the second one new.
The low voltage wiring.
For nothing or almost nothing or almost nothing have caught this on first service callunless they are replacing compressor for sure.
Sounds like reversing valve problem, letting liquid back to compressor. This will wipe out oil and burnout, make sure they take a oil sample test for acid.
it sounds like you may have a bad contactot and/or a bad sequencer may be stuck closed i would check these first.
