Heat pump will not cool, only pumps out hot air. Any suggestions?

easterner asked:

We have an air to air (i.e. not ground source) heat pump with additional heating coils. I have replaced the filter and reset the thermostat. The fan works but the unit will only pump our hot air. Any suggestions on which part might be affected?

  • York heat pump (13yrs old), blows cool air, no heat?

      An airtoair heat pump to work in the country is facing its working but its working but its not being that efficient because of the smaller temperature difference between whats.

      The inside we have to actually shut it back on again.

      The coils will reduce the cool it down 12 to 14 deg cooler than what it is outside also have ur coils cleaned every yrsdust on the freon checked lic gen contractor.
