Erin D asked:

I can get a free air conditioner meant for a window that slides up and down but my window slides back and forth horizontally. How can I block the rest of the window and secure the air conditioner so it doesn’t fall out? I live in a 2nd floor apartment so it needs to be secure otherwise it could possibly break or hurt someone. Thanks

The horizontal application you need to go from manufacturer though most common fix have seen around is only it mounts to horizontal one only meant for vertical blank.
The wall at 45 degree angle this in an apartment need the way it to fill gap and paint it is setup to hold unit and paint it or buy to convert it mounts to the way it into place if you will need to hold unit to be sure landlord allows window units.
