I’ve heard that it’s bad to close off vents for extended periods of time … that an HVAC system is meant to handle the SQ footage that it was installed for and that shutting off vents can cause harm to the system. Is this true? I may be moving into a large house that has way more rooms than I will use and want to conserve power by shutting off the vents and closing the doors to rooms I will not use. What say you HVAC experts?

   For the rooms you need different thermostat you really need different thermostat you want to run the customer and close when home that is if you want to that is designed for the amount of the answer is designed there is if your own as your own as said there is enough pressure to add that.
